Hi Tom, Been watching this post with interest. One question or maybe two (one maybe for Martin). How do i install the plugin? 2. I use a VPN to connect to UK, can this be preprogrammed into the plugin? I look forward to your reply. Im on Vista Thanks Ken

Hi Ken,

there are some instructions at the top of this page;

http://www.tunerfree.tv/plugins/

basically it's
    Download the zip file
Unzip it in your Program Files/MillieSoft/TunerFreeMCE/plugins directory
Run the Update process from the home page of TunerFreeMCE in media center
and then you should have the programs available.

The VPN will kick in automatically as with any other channel.

Sorry, I gave you slightly duff information when I said to use a file:// reference. Instead you just put the image in your plugin's directory, and specify just the file name in the xml. It will know to look in the TVC directory for it.

Here’s How:

Click on Internet Options in the Tools menu. The Tools menu has a gear icon on it.
Click on the Security tab.
Click on Trusted Sites.
Click on the Sites button.
Type the Web address into the textbox and click the Add button. i did *.tvcatchup.com and http://tvcatchup.com
If necessary, uncheck the Require server verification (https://) box. Unchecking this box will allow you to add sites to the zone that don’t use the https:// protocol, which protects your information while it is being transferred to the server that the Web site is on.
Click the Close button to exit the Trusted Sites dialog box.
Click OK to exit the Internet Options dialog box.

Opened up IE logged on and saved password, opened up MC logged on and saved password that fixed it

Im having thoughts about the 0.4 release what if I hosted the feed.xml file on my server which has 100's of tb of bandwidth that means I can dynamically upgrade 100's of installations in seconds well nearly 100 we have 74 downloads now! example TVC have removed Quest for now so instead of bringing out a release for that I can update the feed.xml the only thing with that is the images will have to be hosted somewhere not local.

or

I can set-up ONE hosted image which has for example Green for upto date and Red for out of date make that look like a channel but when clicked does nothing or takes the user to the page with latest link and I keep doing manual updates and releasing them here

That sounds like an excellent idea to me - the more of the code you can make remote, the easier it is to upgrade.

0.4 release

this will probably be the last in theory because once you have updated this will update when you update TunerFreeMCE also I guess it kinda kicked the butts of the guys at TVC because they have updated there plugin for MCE now http://forums.tvcatchup.com/showthread.php?t=3759
